WHY NATIONAL TAXPAYERS ASSOCIATION RANKED ELDORET SOUTH 3RD BEST MANAGED CONSTITUENCY IN THE COUNTRY
Eldoret South is today
distinguished nationally as one of the best managed constituencies in Kenya. Indeed, the Citizen Report Card
2011 by
National Taxpayers Association which assessed how millions of shillings of
public funds meant for constituency development were used in the 210
constituencies in Kenya, ranked Eldoret South Constituency as the THIRD BEST managed in the country. Hon
Simam is determined to retain and enhance our constituency’s model status by
rising from the position three to a sustainable lead in the duration of her mandate.
MHESHIMIWA WHO UTILIZES TECHNOLOGY
Hon Simam has always engaged directly with the electorate through available platforms such as sms, telephone, email, blog, Facebook, twitter, Skype, online forums and Eldoret South Constituency website. This not only tracks her development record but also monitor how she represent the interests of the electorate in the National Assembly. Your valued feedback and constructive engagement that you post always enable her to serve you better. She frequently engages her electorate online especially through her Facebook wall, Fan page and Group(HON PERIS SIMAM RE ELECTION CAMPAIGN 2013)

In addition needy students are able to access all constituency based resources and services online—from Downloading Bursary forms and MP’s official diary to key constituency personnel contact details and updated breakdown of Constituency Funds allocations. We should thank Hon Simam for her unrelenting support and quality leadership because not all MPs are easily accessible and are technology minded like her.
HAS ALWAYS CHAMPIONED FOR WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
ELDORET South MP Peris Simam has always called
for deterrent sentences for men(women batterers) who assault their wives.
"Police should be at the forefront in discouraging ills committed against
women by acting tough on the offenders," the MP was recently quoted when she
was on a visit of Riley Mother and Baby hospital in Eldoret, where she gave
gifts to new mothers.
She has always championed for Gender Equity Research and Development in collaboration with the Flemish Inter university Council to pressurise the police to end violation of women rights.

The youth form about 60% of the total population
in the constituency. The MP,has ensured that the employment centre for all
government agencies now is within Eldoret South constituency
On April 30th 2011 Pepea na mama sport
tournament was launched at Ling way Tarakwa location to promote sporting
activities in Eldoret South. All the locations in the constituency have always
participated in this event.
